Computer Vision, Loss Prevention and Self-Service: Our Proposal at Basque Open Industry

The Basque Open Industry event held at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre as part of the European SME Week brought together over 1,400 participants, including companies in the technology sector and visitors interested in Industry 4.0. The opening of the event was attended by the Basque Government delegation led by President Iñigo Urkullu and the Counselor of Economic Development, Sustainability, and Environment, Arantxa Tapia.

During President Urkullu and Counselor Tapia’s speeches, they emphasized the Government’s commitment to digital, ecological, and social transition and the significance of technological innovation as a driving force for the development of the Basque industry.

This event featured 158 exhibitors subdivided into different areas. Participating companies were related to cybersecurity, R+D+i, or digital transformation. Additionally, there were two exhibition halls focusing on AI or practical cases of cybersecurity and 5G.

In our case, at booth 4 in the Bind 4.0 Scaleups section, We presented to attendees our next-generation solution for the computerized recognition of fruits and vegetables using a supermarket scale.

This event has not only been an opportunity to showcase our innovations but also to learn and exchange ideas with stakeholders in the industrial ecosystem. The event atmosphere was characterized by productivity and usefulness for creating new contacts. In fact, Basque Open Industry facilitated around 800 meetings and appointments between companies.
