If you love LEGO, you have to try Brickit. This fan-created app is the ultimate for lovers of colorful bricks. LEGO is continually exploring new opportunities in the digital world, but this time it was an outside agency that came up with the key to yet another dazzling success.
Brickit, a mobile app available on AppStore and PlayStore, incorporates machine vision, counting and sorting functions to your device. Thus, it is able to scan a pile of pieces, tell you exactly how many there are and what types they are. But it doesn’t stop there, it also proposes designs that you can build with those pieces, shows you the step-by-step construction guide and, if you can’t find the pieces corresponding to a specific step, points them out in the image.
Mind-blowing, right?
At GRABIT we develop similar applications for industrial or commercial environments. Identifying different kinds of waste in a pile or conveyor belt, recognizing the products on a counter and which ones are removed by each customer or detecting bad apples in a tray are just some of the solutions we have worked on. Interested? Don’t hesitate to contact us. We’ll be happy to discuss how we can help you and even prepare a prototype in a few days.
